Highs and Not So Highs Healthier Heather
Sharing my journey to health & wellness, one post at a time
How is it October 17th already? (Happy 42nd wedding anniversary to my parents, who I dont think read my blog so this wish goes out into the internet cosmos. When I asked my Dad what the secret is he said Different shifts at work. Ah yes, my Dad.)
Hit the 10 pound mark. Clothes are fitting, people are noticing, I am feeling so much better. (except for today but we will get to that)
Working with my coach Sarah this week so lots of information flying at me. Wow, amazing stuff. Its my once a month coaching week. And shes an amazing cheerleader and realist.
More and more of you sly readers are asking me questions and starting to ponder your own health. Trust me, its worth it. Keep asking and I will share!
Proud of a close family member who is taking steps in bettering their own health. All the little things add up! Starting is sometimes the hardest part.
My amazing team at work remembered me on Bosss Day (of which I had no idea). So thoughtful with lovely flowers and card.
Women and the election. Women in binders. Equal pay not necessary. Women need balance to make dinner. *sigh* Why in 2012 are we still talking like this? Why I ask? I have my work cut out for me.
Insomnia hit. Late night watching the election. Exhaustion. Added too many food choices in at once, paying the price. Pain, bloat. Tomorrow is another day.
And I will admit a little sadness this week about all of this food stuff. I have read a lot of blogs from women who, when faced with changes in life and eating restrictions, they talk about feeling sad. I am feeling that today. My glass, and plate, are a tad bit half empty. I keep seeing what I shouldnt eat, rather than what I can. I know its all in the name of my health and better life, but sometimes its ok to admit the struggles.
Dare I say, I miss hockey. This is my favorite time of year to head to the arena. The walk to the arena isnt freezing, inside isnt freezing and date nights with the hubby. Come on boys, bring us back our hockey.
Heres to keeping it real, admitting tough days and saluting all my fellow women in binders. Trapper Keeper style.
